ZADAR vs ARIS 24.11.2009: SHORT REVIEW The first round of Eurocup brought Zadar players their first home defeat in this season. Aris won a hard fought game. It was 73-68. It was no spectacular match, both teams based their game on defence and Aris players experience determined the winner at the end. Referees, especially Pukl and Chiari, also played an important role in Zadar loss, protecting Aris players in some key situations. This defeat is bearable because Aris is a team filled with qualitiy and experinced players such as Juan Dixon, Nikos Hatzivrettas (15 pts), Michalis Kakiouzis, Dimos Dikoudis, Jeremy Richardson (12 pts) and Keydren Clark (16 pts 3P 4/4). In Zadar team better than the rest were Marko Car with 17 pts and Damir Rancic with 14 pts. In the second round Zadar plays against Siauliai in Lithuania, who lost in the first round against Hapoel Jerusalem. The final result was 89-76. |
